Past Continuous

PAST CONTINUOUS

- Algo que estava acontecendo em um determinado momento.
- Formação: Verb ‘to be’ no Passado (Was/Were) + Verbo com ING

- Verb TO BE no PASSADO
- Nas Frases Negativas, basta acrescentar o NOT depois de WAS ou WERE:
--- WAS NOT ou WASN’T
--- WERE NOT ou WEREN’T

AFFIRMATIVE

We were...

They were...

INTERROGATIVE
Was I...?
Were You...?
Was He...?
Was She...?
Was It...?

NEGATIVE
I was not/wasn't...

- VERBO ‘TO WALK’
- Tradução: caminhar

Frase Afirmativa: Eu estava caminhando com minha mãe. | I was walking with my mother.
Frase Interrogativa: Eu estava caminhando com minha mãe? | Was I walking with my mother?
Frase Negativa: Eu não estava caminhando com minha mãe. | I was not/wasn’t walking with my mother.

- VERBO ‘TO CRY’
- Tradução: chorar
Frase Afirmativa: Você estava chorando ontem. | You were crying yesterday.
Frase Interrogativa: Você estava chorando ontem? | Were you crying yesterday?
Frase Negativa: Você não estava chorando ontem. | You were not/weren’t crying yesterday.
