Beautiful: pode ser usado para homem e mulher.
Handsome: só para homens.
Logo, em um texto, quando tiver uma frase com o adjetivo
'handsome', você já sabe que se refere a um homem.
02. Eles estavam estudando para passar em um concurso
militar.
Affirmative: They were studying to pass on a military contest.
Interrogative: Were they studying to pass on a military contest.
Negative: They were not [They weren't] to pass on a military contest.
03. Eu estava em casa ontem.
Affirmative: I was at home yesterday.
Interrogative: Was I at home yesterday?
Negative: I was not [wasn't] at home yesterday.
